Bringing your dog to Hawaii requires careful planning, starting at least 4 months before travel. The process involves several important steps. First, get your dog microchipped. Your pet also needs to be vaccinated against rabies, receiving two rabies shots at least 30 days apart. Next, complete the OIE-FAVN rabies antibody test. After a successful result, you must wait 30 days before entering Hawaii. During this time, collect all necessary documents and be sure to submit the required paperwork to AQS at least 10 days prior to arrival. Get your dog microchipped.
